Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Galway (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite per week)
Salary: Up to €100,000 + stock options

A high-growth technology company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building and operating a Kubernetes-native platform, deployed across both cloud-connected and air-gapped environments.

This is a hands-on senior position with strong ownership, working on complex, mission-critical systems used in highly regulated and demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters

• Lead DevOps and platform engineering best practices

• Improve reliability, security, and scalability of Kubernetes-based systems

• Work closely with engineering teams to support application deployment and operations

• Contribute to technical direction and mentor junior engineers

Required Experience:

• Strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience is essential (production environments)

• Solid background in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles

• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and containerized workloads

• Comfortable working in complex or constrained environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with air-gapped or regulated environments

• Cloud and/or on-prem Kubernetes experience

• Security-focused DevOps experience
